Leicester-raised SOFY is creating quite the conversation with her irresistible hip-hop inspired indie music.

Being first recognised in the BBC Live Lounge talent search as one of the UK’s most promising new artists, garnering huge plaudits from top tastemakers such as Jess Iszatt, Gemma Bradley, Clara Amfo, Sam Fender and YUNGBLUD, SOFY and the demo version of her single ‘Strawberry Milkshake’ made it to the final 5 amongst 100,000+ entrees.

Following its release, ‘Strawberry Milkshake’ continued to receive support from BBC Radio 1, who made it their BBC Introducing ‘Track of the Week’, with airplay across all of their shows, as well as huge support across the media including Colors, Wonderland, Dummy, tmrw mag, Lyrical Lemonade, Earmilk, The Line of Best Fit. The single and ‘Bored In Colour Pt.1’ EP that followed kept the buzz around her very much alive as she sets to take to the stage for this year’s festival season with performances at The Great Escape, Trust Festival and Latitude, cementing SOFY as a newcomer to keep a firm eye on.
