What kind of music soundtracks summers yet to come and the best nights out you’ve ever had? It’s a code that modern disco collective Rayowa seem to have cracked.

Forming the band, are three brothers from Essex that are all self-taught multi-instrumentalists and are raising the bar for the disco, funk and soul scene, being continuously praised by music prodigy Nile Rodgers. Rayowa have been playing together since they were children growing up on a council estate in Basildon, where the boys found their swagger, charisma, and shaped their sound, whether dancing with their nan to Abba, or soaking up soul and R&B with their mum and rock with their dad.

Their 2020 EP ‘Keepin’ Me Under’ captured the ears and imaginations of listeners, amassing over 2.5 million streams on Spotify alone and seeing them played on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 and with their new Believe EP releasing imminently, Rayowa are marching the disco renaissance forward. Long may it continue.
